Our ASA 300w machine can hold tight corner radius to .002 and achieve run-out to 2 microns. Lead time for dressing wheels is one week. This is a numerically controlled, fully enclosed dressing machine for SuperAbrasive wheels. The ASA 300w has a wide range of benefits, including controlled speeds, precision, and stability; it also will grind wheel packs for all CNC Tool Grinders.

Wet Dressing

Wet dressing as opposed to dry dressing offers far better benefits regardless of the Superabrasive wheels being Resin/Polyimide or Metal bonded.

The main benefits of wet dressing are:

  • The coolant is constantly cleaning both the Superabrasive wheel and Silicon Carbide wheel reducing both loading and resistance of both wheels and at the point of contact.
  • You do not generate heat at the point of contact which can result in burning the bond of the Superabrasive wheel which in turn will greatly reduce life and performance of the Superabrasive wheel during production between dress cycles as it weakens the bond around the Diamond/CBN particles and form loss is generated quicker.
  • In the case of the ASA 300w Dresser being fully enclosed and from a health/safety point of view there is no dust generation and extraction units are not required making it a cleaner environment.
